About Me: It was a beautiful spring morning when God breathed life in Andrew C. Simmons Jr. Andrew was born on April 16, 1983 to Andrew Simmons Sr. and Deloris Simmons-Roberts. From this union Andrew is the oldest of 2 boys and the 4th son out of 6 half brothers and sisters. Andrew was given the gift and talent of song and music at an early age of 2 years old. It was through his grandmother taking him to all the old school gospel concerts that his love and passion for music and ministry grew like a wildfire. His musical abilities would be discovered at his home church (Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church). While there God exposed his gifts and talents to the church and the surrounding neighborhood. It would not be long before God would move on Andrew’s gifts again by making him one of MLBC’s lead vocalist and soloists. As he grew in his ministry of singing God would begin to put Andrew at the front line by becoming one of MLBC’s Praise and Worship Leader and Minister of Worship. From his enthusiastic and charismatic style of singing to his fervent style of worship and invoking the presence of God it was clear and evident that God was calling Andrew to a higher call. It was on June 2nd, 2002 that Andrew preached his initial sermon entitle “We need a Heart Transplant.” In 2008 God favored Andrew even more by calling him higher as he was blessed with the honor of being ordained as Rev. Andrew C. Simmons Jr. From that time onward Andrew has continued to minister as God has led him. Now being apart of the New Psalmist Family under the awesome leadership of Bishop Walter S. Thomas Sr. God has shifted great things in his favor and in his ministry. Since then God has continued to anoint him and shed His unmerited favor on him. He has preached and sung for crowds great and small. Moving Foward by Hezekiah Walker and LFC - YouTube2.mp3 |
